Every training day, teams crack and drop chem lights that end up in the trash. At about $1.42 each in bulk, that adds up fast. Worse, people start holding back on drops because it feels like a waste. That builds the wrong habit.

Tacstix fix that. They are reusable room markers built to replace the chem light in the training environment while mimicking the same motion of using a real one. Drop it, pick it up, run it again.

Why teams switch

  • Same motion, real reps. Tacstix are designed to be deployed like a chem light, so the habit you train is the habit you use.
  • No hesitation. When a drop costs nothing, operators mark every room the way they should.
  • Built for rough use. Field tested by active operators. Tacstix markers are made from a specialized hybrid TPU, injection molded.
  • Kit ready. Works with MOLLE, standard 550 cord and similar, or the included attachment wires.
  • Lifetime warranty. Typical wear and tear is covered. If one breaks, send us a photo of the broken part and we send a new one.

The math

A Tacstix 100 Count is $450, or $4.50 per marker. A chem light runs about $1.42 in bulk. Each Tacstix pays for itself by the fourth drop. Every drop after that is money your agency keeps.

If your team drops each marker just 10 times a year, 100 Tacstix replace about 1,000 chem lights, roughly $1,420 in single-use lights, for a one-time $450. See the full breakdown on our chem light cost comparison.

Pick your kit

  • Tacstix 100 Count: 100 markers with wire attachments in a storage bucket. Choose green, blue, red or any mix you want. Popular mixes include 90 green / 5 red / 5 blue, 80 / 10 / 10, 60 / 20 / 20, and 60 green / 40 red.
  • Refill 10 Count: 10 replacements in green, blue, red or a custom mix.

Not sure how many? About 100 for a small team of 8–10 operators, 200 for 18–20, and 400 for 38–40.

Veteran owned, made in the USA

Tacstix was drawn up by a Navy veteran and SWAT operator who was tired of watching his team throw money on the floor. Tacstix are designed and manufactured in San Diego County.
